--------------------------// HW 11: final project----------

experimenting with particles i styled into bezier curves, .obj files, openGL shaders/blend modes and sequenced sounds! an av performance!

--------------------------// HW 10: experimenting with openCV to ctrl sound ----------

experimenting with openCV/openFrameworks from alia ormut-f. on Vimeo.

above: using openCV to ctrl mutiple sinOscillators with blob detection.

--------------------------// HW 9: audio responsive visuals -------------

openFrameworks - hw 9 from alia ormut-f. on Vimeo.

example 01: the above is my first example of audioReactive visuals. still learning and experimenting with OF - i chose to focus on integrating changing colors, Perlin Noise, and timed animation into this example. basically the visuals are changing based on mouse control which changes color but also tone frequency of multiple sin oscillators.

openFrameworks - hw 9 part 2 from alia ormut-f. on Vimeo.

the above is my next exploration of an audio/visual app. as the buildings sway frequencies of a few different oscillators change. the big challenge with this code for me was setting a good threshold for the frequency so it didn't get ear splitting. hopefully i've gotten better at this since then.

---- hw 7:audio/visual notation and sounds-----//

below is my notation of sue's sound piece.

above is the sound I composed to be shared with other students

above is the sound I composed from a notation of glendon's original sound, he thought it wasn't that similar to the original drawing/sound, but i thought it was :)!

--------------------------// HW 6: FFT VISUALIZER / other FFT experiments----------

fft visualizer from alia ormut-f. on Vimeo.

this was my example of hooking fft synthesis up to a form of interaction. note: the responsiveness of the video capture is not completely awesome. ie: its dropping frames. is faster is real life. blue = higher frequency.

--------------------------// HW 5: granular synthesis experimentation----------

GranularFlashBulbs from alia ormut-f. on Vimeo.

above was my visual of what granular synthesis sound like. created in jitter :)

granular vizualizer from alia ormut-f. on Vimeo.

the above is my openFrameworks granularSynthesis visualization. the circles spin faster based on how granular frequency. a mouse press starts the whole interaction off as a control point

above is my granular interpretation of "clouds"

above is my granular interpretation of a bubbling brook

above is my granular interpretation of a teapot

--------------------------// HW 4: non-linear sequencer----------

object Sequencer from alia ormut-f. on Vimeo.

above: i wanted to make a sequencer with a .obj file. above is the result

ow my ears from alia ormut-f. on Vimeo.

the above is my attempt at creating a terrible cacophanous sound using sinOscillators

phone ringing from alia ormut-f. on Vimeo.

creating the sound of a coffee machine using sinOscs. before scaling :)

--------------------------// HW 2: creating a sound story----------//

above is the sound story I composed for the second homework.

--------------------------// HW 1: creating audio for visuals----------//

above is audio i created for the given set of 9 images. scroll through the video to see all 9!
